Harness the Power of A Pheno(menonal)Imager!

Are you studying the complexities of intercellular relationships? Do you want to be able to visualize cellular neighborhoods? Consider how you can elevate your work by imaging the tissue microenvironment using the Immune Monitoring Core’s PhenoImager HT! Join the core for its Spatial Biology Meeting exploring the exciting capabilities of this system, which include multiplex immunofluorescence, whole slide scanning, and software for spectral unmixing and quantitative analysis. Two specialists from Akoya Biosciences will be available to discuss how to optimize the PhenoImager HT for your research needs. The Immune Monitoring Core will be hosting this webinar on Tuesday, July, 25, 2023, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Price Center/Block Research Pavilion, Room 451. Lunch will be served. Attendees who prefer to join remotely can do so virtually via Webex.

Summertime Library Hours

Effective June 5, through August 11, 2023, the D. Samuel Gottesman Library will operate under summer hours as follows, so plan your visits accordingly: Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to midnight; and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The library will be closed on Saturday. The hours are also posted online, in the top right corner of the library website, and can be accessed directly here. Enjoy the summer amid your studying!

Writing Internship

Graduate students and postdocs can apply to take part in Einstein’s writing internship, a partnership between the graduate division, the Belfer Institute and the department of communications and public affairs. Hone your writing skills while gaining hands-on science and general writing experience, completing assignments in a variety of story styles and formats. Interested? Feeling Stressed? There's Assistance!

It's important to know that you're not alone, and that there are a variety of resources at Einstein through which you can reach out for assistance. For students and postdocs, there is the Student Mental Health Center and the office of academic support and counseling (which includes peer mentoring). For staff and faculty (including postdocs and graduate students), there is Carebridge, our employee assistance program. And, for all members of our Einstein community there is the Montefiore-Einstein Virtual Support Center. Please know these options are available for you should you feel the need for support.
